My next Android phone was to be with NO compromises. I needed AT&T network comaptibility for work (Exchange Server & 1900 MHz HDSPA+ data).
I wanted full connectivity with my Ford SYNC navigation, which inculdes the Bluetooth MAP Profile for reading text messages.
I have been holding out for a Tegra 3 phone promised for 2012. I wanted a sleek and attractive handset with all the WOW factor which must include a premium screen resolution and brilliant appearance. I needed enough battery to last through the work day. I needed enough memory to not bog down with plenty of room for apps, a little music and some video. I had been avoiding HTC phones for the past 18 months mainly because of 1900 Band USA data. Then came the HTC ONE X.
There was (is) no documentation specifically for this model showing the Bluetooth MAP Profile so I ordered the phone on a try-it-and-see basis. I am happy to report, it does it all, and not only does it read texts on my SYNC, it works with the iDrive in my wife's BMW. Her 4s can't even do that! You can read the extensive reviews of the hardware and software performance man other places on the net. For me, this handset is going to be a keeper for some time to come (sorry kids, this one isn't gooing to be a hand-me-down anytime soon)
